The new Vans feature-length film is out, highlighting the global skateboarding team roster and bringing to life the creative visions of talented filmmakers around the world. ‘Nice To See You‘ stars Adelaide Norris, Alexey Krasniy, Breana Geering, Chima Ferguson, Daiki Hoshino, Diego Todd, Digby Luxton, Dustin Henry, Etienne Gagne, Nick Michel, Notis Aggelis, Pedro Delfino, Rio Morishige, Ronnie Sandoval, Shogo Zama, Simon Zuzic, Una Farrar, and Wang Guohua, with appearances from many other Vans Family members. Under the guidance of Los Angel-based filmmaker and photographer Greg Hunt, the film was co-directed by creative talents including Tommy Zhao, Shari White (who directed Vans’ Credits), Paul Labadie and Max Pack (who directed Vans Europe’s Tom’s Tales), George Kousoulis, Daniel Dent, and Kyota Kamei. The film is a shared feeling of solidarity and commonality amongst skateboarders everywhere, regardless of location, background, or identity.
“The epicenter of skateboarding has always been in America, but today more than ever, skateboarding is worldwide and projects like this one are the best representation of that,” Europe-based Director Paul Labadie said. “And I think that the diversity of the cast shows that skateboarding is embracing all genders and races; it’s a good message to send to the world right now.”
“This film represents all the best things about skateboarding – friends, good times and, of course, tricks,” added China-based Director Tommy Zhao. “I’m proud to be a part of Vans Skateboarding’s first truly global video, providing an international platform to all of our skaters, no matter where you’re from.”
