Meanwhile, in Greece, another DIY project gets off the ground. A cosy skatepark for the local and migrant community in Athens. Adopt a ramp today!

Pane Per Poveri, Free Movement Skateboarding, Kassandras and endboss projects have collaborated, with support from Project Elea, to build a new skatepark for refugee and local skaters, at Souzy Tros in the Eleonas district of Athens. It looks set to open its doors in April 2018.
The project is already well underway, with the first of many ramps constructed – a pentagon hip, with five possible directions, which will in turn lead to five ramps. It’s the inspiration of Robin of endboss projects, who has worked with the likes of Make Life Skate Life and Levi’s Skateboarding to build DIY parks around the world.
In order to raise the cash for concrete, the team behind this micro-park are running an Adopt a Ramp programme, which gives supporters the opportunity to help build one of the five companions to the pentagram hip centrepiece. A whole ramp costs 300€ to build, but all donations are welcome. And with only two ramps left to build, this could be your chance to build a part of Athens’ DIY history.
