A strange video that’s nonetheless pretty rad. This visual experience features a bunch of skaters from around the world as they tour the middle east. More specifically, Iran, Azerbaijan, Georgia & Turkey. For the nitty gritty, the skateboarding is great. Lots of cool lines, huge spots, and all-around good footwork by Laurence Keefe, Michael Mackrodt, Kenny Reed, Tobias Ulbrich, MJ Rahimi, Gosha Konyshev, Walker Ryan, Phil Zwijsen and Denny Pham. The soundtrack was strange, and rather typically “ethnic” but whatever, everyone tries to incorporate something “local” whenever using footage from abroad. There’s something soothing about a sitar while you’re watching grown men throw themselves around on a rolling piece of wood.
P.S. MJ looks like a dope dude and his boards need to gain some respect. That’s right Walker, ride dem beshes.
