Much Quiet comes from the idea of exploring the cities of Paris and London during the past 18 months in between lockdowns, curfews and restrictions. While under the influence of the pandemic, these two usually very loud cities went quiet. With empty streets, not much security around, offices closed and the possibility of going to spots you don’t normally go to, the crew had a heap of new opportunities open up.
Featuring a team of Parisian and London crews that already skate and film together on their home turf on a regular basis, the goal of Much Quiet was for these crews to revisit well known spots that were familiar to them without having to worry about having a “trip deadline”. Giving them 18 months to build up their respective best parts in their own city and giving each of the riders an outlet to express their creativity in their own home.
What came out of this nearly two-year long project is this mix of creative individuals firmly reinterpreting ways to skateboard their local spots and the message is quite clear: sometimes, home is really where the heart is.
