Alex Seyet owns Ministry of Concrete, the skateshop literally and figuratively at the heart of Athens’ vibrant skate scene. It’s a couple blocks down from Syntagma Square, where everyone meets up to skate flat and chat shit. Plenty of the latter happens at MOC itself. SKATEISM was founded in Athens, and Alex, who was interviewed in the very first issue, is a longtime friend of the mag. He’s also got great taste in music, as evidenced by this eclectic yet impeccably organized playlist. He even split it into daytime and nighttime vibes, which is above and beyond. Anyway, the coolest thing about 10 TRAX is seeing what kind of weird, seemingly incompatible music is bouncing around in our favorite people’s heads, and the playlist under Alex’s pompadour does not disappoint. Slayer’s “Aggressive Perfector” and Air’s “Playground Love” should not, in theory, work on the same playlist, but here they really, really do. Nicely done, Alex!
