It seems as if skateboarding is on a self-fulfilling mission of bringing joy everywhere in the form of a piece of wood on wheels. Apart from the fashion/consumer aspect of the whole thing, skateboarding really is a cheap way to brighten up your life. The sense of satisfaction, growth, masochism, and friendship that comes from skating alone or with friends is something that young people everywhere can enjoy (as long as there’s decent flatground.) 24 skaters including Chet Childress, Al Partanen, Stefan Janoski, Omar Salazar, Lennie Burmeister, and Rob Smith, alongside the local Holystoked crew, and Hannover’s 2er building crew all got together to create the first free-to-use skatepark in India. The second episode is more about the skate culture itself growing in India as the skate torch is passed on.
