Your part in Wheat and Meat just dropped and it blew us away, how long did it take you to film that?
I don’t know. Around 3 or 4 months, maybe.
3. So many of those lines and many of the single tricks looked really tough to nail. What was the most frustrating trick to get in that video?
The most difficult tricks to get on the part have to be the BS tail on the black hubba [2:52] and the fs 50 on the silver rail [2:55] at the university!
Is all that footage caught in Greece? Any plans to travel around?
Wheat and Meat is all filmed in Athens, yes! Sure, I really want to travel around and skate! China, especially.
That opener in W&M the nose manny to manny, that’s some seriously creative thinking. Was that a spontaneous decision or had you been thinking about for ages?
It was a spontaneous decision! I was just doing the nose manny and I thought “mmm, why not with a manny after?”
How has it been since Lover launched? Any exciting plans with the team, a tour, or a signature board perhaps? The Aggelis Cig-nature.
Lover Skateboards is going really well! People are going to have to wait for more news though, and stay tuned for the full Lover video! That’s the only thing I can tell you!
Are you fully recovered after your knee, dude? What’s the story there?
Not fully recovered! Now I am going to the gym to make it stronger! I started rolling a bit too last week! I need to wait three more months then i’ll be perfect!
So what’s your journey through skateboarding been like? When did you first pick up a board and why?
I started skating when I was 8-years-old. I used to just check out my brother skating and I got really hyped on it, so I decided to buy a board and start skating too! After that I just loved to be on a board!
When was the first time you thought to yourself “I am a skateboarder” rather just “I have a skateboard”. Was there a particular moment?
Mmm… when I first landed a kickflip. I think that was it! It was the most exciting moment of my life! Hahaha!
How do you think the current situation in Greece has affected skateboarding?
I don’t know really. We just need more skateparks and motivated people that love and want to help skateboarding!
