Skaters featured : Kagiso, Theosean, Jason
We have been filming this video only in Gaborone, which is the capital city of Botswana. The main reason why we called it four pula is because that was the cost of the public transport Kagiso and I used to get to the skate spots as well as Main Mall. The public transport we used is the mini buses, but we call it a combi or taxi. Kagiso is familiar with the skate spots around downtown Gaborone because he has been skating around the CBD since he started skating in 2012 with his friends who are mainly- Theo Moloadi, D’amico Kebatile and Kaone Ntshole. Some of the skate spots that are in his video part are the first time he skates them, and some of the other spots he was already used to them. So there was a good balance.
Main Mall (also located in Downtown Gaborone) has been our main skate ground since the beginning; the only reason why we only get to skate there during the weekends is because the open space is a parking lot that belongs to the Standard Charted bank. So during weekdays the parking lot will be filled with cars. If that weren’t the case we would still skate there during weekdays regardless if we had school or work.
