After a joyous (and probably very unhealthy) Christmas period, it’s time to jump back into our Yin Yoga for Skateboarders series. Starting 2020 off gently, this short sequence is targeted at the wrists and shoulders. Sometimes Yin Yoga is seen as a practice for gaining flexibility but actually one of the main purposes is to stimulate the healing responses the body creates when tissue its stressed appropriately. This is why it’s so great for skateboarders… Unfortunately, we are always putting too much stress on our wrists and shoulders when we fall skateboarding – causing injury. Everything in Yin is about balance. Too much stress is bad, as is too little, so here we are seeking just the right amount in the right way in order to maintain or achieve a healthy body – that can shred longer.
