Editor’s Note: DLX continues to be the company that really, genuinely, actually cares, in this case by volunteering to ship out a bunch of copies of the Skateistan book. Both to get the word out on this incredible aid project, and to drum up financial support. Each shop on the distribution list is getting one shop copy and one to give out to any interested party who is willing to donate. Head on down to your local to check out the book, and whether or not you get one of those coveted “lurker” copies, you can donate to the incredibly good cause that is Skateistan here. The following post is from DLX’s blog, reposted with permission.

Oliver Percovich, the founder of Skateistan recently called with an offer to help him distribute their books to skate shops so more people could learn about the organization. That offer was enough for us.
Starting this week, every order out of Deluxe will include 2-3 Skateistan books for shops.
One copy will be a shop copy for everyone to check out. The other copies are up for grabs to those who promise to make a donation to Skateistan. Scouts honor style. We believe you.
The Skateistan story is incredible. The book is great. We hope their journey inspires you as much as it has us.

Through following Skateistan’s story over the years we’ve developed a close friendship with their founder Oliver and have been lucky enough to work on several benefit projects together through Spitfire and Thunder.
A few years back, Jim [Thiebaud] was able to visit Skateistan’s newest school locations in Cambodia and attend the opening of their school in Johannesburg, South Africa.
