Converse – Nick Trapasso Pro Model

converse

With Converse in the skate scene being a recent phenomenon, Anthony Pappalardo, Kenny Anderson, Nick Trapasso helped bring their shoes into the spotlight. Up for review is Nick Trapassos’s first pro model with Converse, the Cons Trapasso Pro mid.

For starters this is a heavy duty shoe that will last a while. The sole is modeled after the classic Chuck Taylor sole with a gum bottom which gives it a slimmer profile. The outer layer provides good grip without sacrificing longevity, while the tough suede upper takes time to tear through. And even when scuffed up the shoe still manages to look good, although the converse logo tends to get torn rather quickly.

An interesting feature of the shoe is the memory foam padding on the collar and tongue, which molds to the wearers feet and provides good stability and comfort. A drawback of this however is the fact that it makes for a relatively heavy shoe, and can feel “chunky” at times.

All in all these shoes look good, skate good, and have good durability. If you like mid tops, definitely give these a try.
