Here at SKATEISM, we’re big fans of skateboarding’s most purple superstar, Nora Vasconcellos. And while we’re not fans of writing about every single new piece of clothing or shoe colorway that comes out, we are fans of all the rad unisex gear that’s appearing on the skate fashion scene. To wit, Nora’s new Adidas capsule — more of the pastels we know and love from her, this time in purple on 3MC, and in various other shades for her five accompanying clothing items — is definitely worth paying attention to.

For one, it is intentionally gender inclusive, per Vasconcellos:
“The beauty is that [skateboarding] is accessible to anyone, if they are willing to try it. I love designing boards and graphics, but this is the pinnacle of what I’ve designed product-wise. It is a universal collection breaking the barrier of saying ‘this is for a man’ or ‘this is for a woman.’”

But while inclusivity is essential, there’s still the matter of everyone of every gender wanting to look fly. Thankfully, this capsule is pretty damn stylin’. You’ve got the purple shoes, of course, with the pink heel trim and Nora’s own artwork on the insole. But there’s also a short-sleeve polo, a long-sleeve rugby polo, a sweet floral tee, some loosey goosey purple chinos, and our personal favorite, an incredibly soft-looking yellow fleece zip-up. You’ll be snuggling yourself uncontrollably. Or lipsliding super steep marble banks, either way.

The capsule drops online today, and is sure to be out in skateshops soon after. Keep your eyes peeled, and check out this quick conversation about how the new line came to be, between Nora and the fine folks at legendary South London skate shop Brixton’s Baddest.
