We’ll admit to having never heard of Absurd Skateboards before this video, but we’re definitely interested now. We stumbled across this tour edit thanks to our friends at RajonTV, who are a lot more plugged into Russian skateboarding than we are, and — holy shit — it’s weird and awesome and everything we didn’t even know we wanted in an edit. There’s maybe, like, a minute’s worth of actual, semi-serious skateboarding (though even that is of the creative, quick-footed variety), and the rest is just bizarre b-roll and interviews with the local drunks of Dno, a small, forlorn railroad town south of St. Petersburg. Vaguely Satanic mannequins? Check. Dirtboard kickflip? Check. Dirtboard wallride on way too tall of a wall to be doing a dirtboard wallride on? Check. Cute stray dogs? Yup. This edit’s got all the good, weird shit in it, the skating definitely included. Nasdrovia!
