Arto Saari has been making some waves lately. First he joins the New Balance skateboarding team alongside Tom Karangelov, and now he’s among the top ranks of skateboarding photographers. No doubt he has an advantage due to his pro skateboarder status, which means that he has a more symbiotic relationship with skateboarding than most. And it makes sense really, seeing as how many skateboarders are better at taking pictures of tricks than “regular” photographers. Arto most recently documented the Oakley trip to Australia featuring Koston, Glifberg, Sheckler, and Caples.
